Interface ConfigurationSource

public interface ConfigurationSource

Host-configured source of complete versioned configuration snapshots. Providers atomically subscribe to their initial snapshot and tail; reconnect replays use the same version namespace. A source must not be selected or granted credentials by an untrusted application annotation.

AutoCloseable watch(Consumer<ConfigurationSource.Snapshot> listener)
             throws Exception

Starts one source subscription. Delivery may occur before this method returns. The returned subscription owns provider resources and must stop delivery when closed. If subscription fails, the provider cleans up resources before throwing. The host still guards racing events.

Parameters:

listener - complete immutable snapshots; accepted versions increase monotonically

Returns:

nonnull closeable provider subscription

Throws:

Exception - if the source cannot establish a subscription
